Diversity in views as a resource for learning? Student perspectives on the interconnectedness of sustainable development dimensions

چکیده
This study investigates the different arguments put forward by Swedish upper secondary students on interconnectedness of environmental, social and economic dimensions sustainable development (SD). The aim is to diversity in views among order find out whether this can be used as a resource holistic pluralistic approach ESD. design was based two-step process which first step identify representing four different, broadly coherent, interconnections between sustainability dimensions, with specific focus role economy SD. Thereafter, group interviews were undertaken selected groups views. findings indicate discussions SD potential that plurality brings for perspective shifting. Moreover, dimension appears central promoting examine overall dimensions. A further conclusion omitting ESD risks excluding core students’ ideas how may realized.
